Over 500 lots at auction in the auction session entirely dedicated to engravings, prints and multiples by the greatest Italian and international artists. Fontana, Afro, Vedova and Capogrossi are just some of the names of Italian authors who make up the very rich auction catalog. About 20 sheets by Dorazio to choose from, almost as many by Guccione, de Chirico, Perilli and many others including Severini and Balla. A rare example of Andy Warhol's well-known Turtle screenprint is lot 499, followed by another Pop Art icon, Tom Wesselmann's Smoking Cigarette, lot 500, which together with works by Marc Chagall, Takashi Murakami and Sam Francis are some of the internationally renowned authors proposed. A wide selection of prints, documents, books and photographs by Christo and Jean Claude document the fervent activity of the duo, in this particularly attentive period. The ceramic plates by Picasso, Dorazio and Lichtenstein, together with a selection of multiples by Jeff Koons, Yayoi Kusama, Gino Marotta and Emilio Scanavino, form a nucleus of rare and sought-after limited edition art objects. Two large rugs by Robert Indiana, a look at street art with Obey and Sten Lex and an intriguing selection of vintage posters by Keith Haring, Jakson Pollock and Maurizio Cattelan complete the vast selection of works on offer.
