Space Willing & Dealing is holding the theme exhibition <New Life> from June 8 to June 29, 2022. In this exhibition, five female artists who have gone through the process of pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting participate, and present works that directly or indirectly refer to these changes in life using their own method of making works. The title of the exhibition, ‘New Life’, was given as a meaning to ‘a new life’ with children as a mother, and ‘a new life’ for a child who came into the world, as it is about bringing a ‘new work’ to the world as an artist. As can be inferred from the title, we all make decisions at the crossroads of choices big and small at every moment according to our values ​​and beliefs, and small habits, actions, and changes are sometimes reflected in the work. This exhibition seeks to expand mutual empathy and solidarity beyond understanding the individual artist. I hope that people who share similar interests or concerns can create another leap forward based on intellectual exchange.
